Imagine starting each day knowing your craftsmanship shapes components measured in thousandths and trusted by discerning customers. For 60+ years, our family‑owned shop has paired precision with heart—supporting people as much as parts. If that sounds like the right place to invest your talent, read on.

Our promise

  • Benefits that respect your life: Blue Cross Blue Shield medical & dental, 401(k) with match, tuition reimbursement, and medical/dependent care FSAs.
  • Predictable days: one first shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Your mission

Own the complete journey from drawing to dependable production on Citizen and Star multi‑axis Swiss‑type turn/mill machines—building robust programs, reliable setups, and repeatable results. Then, multiply your impact by sharing that know‑how with teammates and interns.

How you’ll make it happen
  • Study drawings, 3D models, work orders, materials, and specifications to plan machining methods and operation sequences.
  • Program, prove out, edit, and optimize CNC code in CAD/CAM for Swiss‑type platforms.
  • Set up and run equipment: choose tooling/workholding, set offsets, make edits and adjustments to achieve quality and throughput.
  • Validate first‑piece results with meticulous measurement and inspection to drawings and GD&T.
  • Document everything that ensures repeatability: setup sheets, tooling data, approved programs, production records, and process‑control documents under strict revision control.
  • Diagnose and fix machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues; perform preventive maintenance; champion continuous improvement.
  • Keep an eye on tooling and supply levels and request replenishment proactively.
  • Teach, mentor, and support less‑experienced operators, setup personnel, department staff, and student interns.
  • Share status, changes, irregularities, and corrective actions clearly with peers and leadership.
  • Maintain an orderly, safe environment for machines, tools, and gages.
  • Honor our standards: ISO quality system, ITAR, CMMC, information security, and workplace safety.
  • Jump in on related tasks as assigned.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bonus points for vocational, technical, apprenticeship, or machining‑program training.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM plus working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read prints and GD deep grasp of machining methods, cutting tools, workholding, feeds/speeds, inspection, and troubleshooting.
  • Mathematical and mechanical strength with solid organization, communication, and time management.
  • Comfort working independently, setting priorities, meeting production goals, and mentoring teammates.
Experience & physical demands
  • 5+ years running Citizen and Star Swiss‑type CNC lathes.
  • CAD/CAM programming experience is highly desirable.
  • Regular standing/movement; handling small parts/tools; lift/move up to 40 lbs; visual acuity (with or without correction) to read technical info, operate controls, inspect small features, and assess fine dimensional or surface details.
Skills & technology
  • CNC Programming; G‑Code; CNC Machine Setup & Changeover; Precision Measurement & Hand Metrology; Machine Setups for Production Runs
  • Equipment: CNC Swiss Lathe (Star, Citizen); CAM Software (Esprit); CNC Lathe (5+ axis); Calipers & Micrometers
